For those of you who wish to view shows on BBC iPlayer from outside of the UK:
I have gathered quite a few different methods for this!
If you want to watch anything on the BBC iPlayer (Doctor Who, Sherlock, Merlin, etc.), then I have a multitude of different options you can all try.
For PCs only:
Pros:
- Extremely easy to use.
- Very effective
- Free.
Cons:
- Pop-ups/ads occasionally.
For Macs OR PCs:
Pros:
- Very effective.
- Free (up to a certain amount of megabytes.)
Cons:
- A bit confusing if you’re not very good with computers.
- Limited to only 500 megabytes per month (unless you do the Twitter promotion, which gives you a free 1 GB)
Stealthy (extension for both FireFox AND Google Chrome)
Pros:
- Incredibly easy to install/activate.
- Very effective.
Cons:
- I have been having some difficulties with making it work with watching BBC One live. Watching the episodes that are downloaded to the websites works, but so far I have not been able to make it work with LIVE.
